Garnier Light Complete Vitamin C 30x Booster Serum | A Product Review

I was so intrigue with this new Light Complete line of Garnier especially with this Vitamin C serum. Now a days people are switching to actives on their skin care routine particularly on people who are into anti aging products. Vitamin C may help in treatment and repair of damages caused by ultraviolet rays so this is intended to use in day time together with sunscreen.

Brand Name: Garnier
Product Name: Light Complete Vitamin C 30x Booster Serum
Product Type: Serum
Product Price: Php 499 (

I have purchased this on their introductory sale and this alone in their Light Complete line is so promising that many is excited to use this. Using vitamin C as a serum is now popular compared to using day cream as its substitute. It is advised to apply during the day at the time when the sun is on its brightest because Vitamin C may give better effects. Of course, using it with sunscreen, Vitamin C can repair and damage skin cells caused by ultraviolet rays coming from the sun. Also, as what most of us know, Vitamin C can give flawless and white complexion skin.

Like most of serums, it is on dropper bottles and you only need 3-5 drops every application. It was in a transparent container so you can easily see if the formula is already exposed or contaminated. The consistency is thick and cloudy white. It is not oily when applied and you can feel the liquid on. When storing, keep away from direct sunlight and hot surfaces. I mostly stored it in the fridge. I apply it after toner and before moisturizer and sunscreen.

On my honest opinion, this serum is not pleasing to me. My skin formed bumps after application and I tried to continue to check if maybe it is just an initial effect. Now, I am suffering from severe acne and to calm my skin down, I discontinue using it. I did not know what really caused me to breakout. Maybe because also of using face masks and face shield. But I am still accusing it and my moisturizer to prevent future more damages. For now, I only use toner and sunscreen. I am waiting for my appointment on my dermatologist so I can cure this one. But I do not take away the reason that maybe this is caused by my hormonal imbalance.

I am also not suggesting that this is a bad product. Just like everything else, there are products that are best to many and bad for some. If you really want to try this one, check this out. There are reviews that I read that this Vitamin C serum helps their skin to glow in so much potential. So I guess, we just still need to do experimenting so we can see what products suit our skin.

Lucas' Papaw & Essentail Health Pawpaw Ointment | Product Review

I love watching bag raids of local celebrities on Youtube and recently, they always have this product on their bags. It is like a must-have item and they give positive impressions on this. As you know, I am suffering from eczema and thankfully, it just triggers from time to time. My boyfriend gave me the same ointment but it is from Essential Health. He said that it may improvement the hydration of my skin and may relief itchiness. This ointment that he gave me was bought from Australia and he has stocks also for his regular use. So since I also use this brand and there were no significant difference with Lucas', I would like to include this in my review. Side by side.

Brand Name: Lucas' / Essential Health
Product Name: Lucas' Papaw Ointment / Essential Health Pawpaw + Aloe Vera Ointment
Product Type: Ointment

I am living in a country where it has humid weather. There are instances that sweat triggers itchiness and may occur bumps. There are also times that we unconsciously scratch it until it bleeds. I am one of those persons and I am trying my best to prevent this. My boyfriend gave this to me to let me try it. Maybe this will somehow ease the itchiness in my eczema because in those times, it is at its worst. I came to many dermatologists but not all their creams and ointments are effective. Even though there are some, still, they are for first aids only.

On the right image, Essential Health's, there are many benefits indicated. Maybe because it has aloe vera in it. While on the left side, Lucas', it has papaya extract only. But both of them have the same benefits. They both serve their purpose though, to hydrates and to ease inflammation.

Since both of them have the same prime ingredient and benefits, their consistency is oil-based and thick. Though they feel sticky at times, you can feel the moisture and the hydration after applying it on the target area. I applied it on my lips, and to my hands if I need more moisture. Most of the time, I experience chopped lips maybe because of rapid change in weather. Though there are lip balms available which is intended specifically for lip hydration, it is not enough for me. I need to reapply it every time. But when I use papaw, I only apply it at night daily and no need to reapply throughout the day especially now that lip tints are useless because of face masks.

This papaya ointments are already proven by celebrities and other skin professionals so there is no doubt on its use. But when it comes to my sensitive skin, this is just a first aid. Though it calms my eczema for some time, I really need a medicine for this. Over all, I can not say negative because I am on my 4th tube and I always have one on my bag and one on my room. Just in case I need an immediate remedy.

Missha Time Revolution Special Miniature Kit | A Product Review

Last year, a good friend of mine came home from South Korea gave me a sample of Missha's sunscreen and other korean brand face mask. Years back, I am not really a fan of korean skincare because I have a constant visit with this derma clinic nearby. Honestly, they really made my skin flawless and acne free. But time goes by and I do not have time so I need a good alternative. Since when I got the chance to try this Missha and a good face mask, maybe korean skincare is worth a try.

On my previous posts, I always talked about Innisfree. Maybe because they are easy to reach especially that they opened physical stores almost everywhere here in Metro Manila and they also have reputable online store. I only bought this miniature kit because I need a cream, an active ingredient alternative and something new to try. And why not? Missha is good.

Brand Name: Missha
Product Name: Time Revolution Special Miniature Kit
Product Type: Night Time Skincare
Product Price: Php 349

It is actually my first time trying this products. A typical person, or just me, I bought it first before I search reviews and rates of this. It looks promising though. Missha's Time Revolution has captured the heart of korean skincare lovers. This is just one in their Time Revolution Line. This uses fermented ingredients that is well-known to even skin-tone and to repair damage in just few weeks.

The First Treatment Essence Rx is so popular in the internet and it is compared to the expensive SKII. Sorry to tell that if you are looking for the comparison between these two products, you have come to the wrong page because I have not used SKII yet. But if I will be given a chance, I will of course. This new version which is an "Rx" provides skin longer hydration and it restores the elasticity of the skin. And this actually has niacinamide to its formula so this is really a good one. This is also water-based and light-weight. This is a good start up and no sting feeling.

The First Treatment Serum Emulsion has concentrated 80% fermented yeast extract that conditions the skin. This also contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid that deeply hydrates the skin and replenishes skin texture. This emulsion has also anti-aging effect. The formula is creamy but watery just like what an emulsion must be. It may need some time to absorb by the skin but it does not sting also. I like the consistency though because it really feels that you applied a product to your face but it will eventually be absorbed then be ready for another application. There is so much that this product can give but in this size, it was the first one to empty. But I still need to think about it if I will purchase it to a bigger one. I also had a hard time searching for the normal size of this one online.

Night Repair Probio Ampoule is also a famous one in this line. This is an anti-aging serum that contains a 50% fermented yeast extract that vanishes cellular slowdown and boost elasticity. This actually accelerates the skin renewal process. There are so much benefits that this product may cause and it is even compared to Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair. This is usually used together with the Essence mentioned above. You can also buy a package including this serum and the essence in one. This is an oil-based product but do not you worry because it is easily absorbed by the skin so no need for long waiting time. Also, there is no problem with its odor. I usually apply 3 drops every night in my face.

Night Repair Probio Ampoule Cream is kinda yogurty when I describe it. Because of its formulation containing more than 50% fermented yeast extract and 10 types of probiotics, it strengthens the moisture barrier and speeds up skin regeneration. I like it actually even though the cream is thick and looks heavy. But whenever you apply it, it even out and not sticky at all. I can say that of the four mentioned here, this one is my favorite. I think it contributes to the improvement of face and I like yogurt so it has a plus.

Applying these for weeks now and I can say that my skin has improved. Even though I did breakout, these products somehow dries my pimples and there no angry bumps almost everyday. I can not truly accused skin care products that may have cause this breakouts because imbalance hormones is the other factor. I am suggesting that you try it for yourself. After all this is their sample sizes and they are worth a try.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub | A Product Review

St. Ives is well-known to its skincare products that claimed good reviews around the world. Even my mother recommend the brand whenever I need something for my skin, especially that I have a sensitive type all over my body. If you have seen the recent post of mine, I am suffering from eczema and until now I am treating it. Anyway, if you have come up to search about this product, you can see a bunch of reviews even from celebrities that this is a way to go but of course, all the goods have the opposites. If I can still remember it right, since this is a physical exfoliation type, others appeal that this is bad for the skin because of force peeling. They recommend that for better skin exfoliation, chemical peeling is the best way.

Brand Name: St. Ives
Product Name: Fresh Skin (Apricot)
Product Type: Scrub
Product Price: Php 335 (283g)

I am a St. Ives fan and I am using it for a year now. I can say that I have not seen any tremendous reaction to my skin. It even makes my skin smooth and glowy after. I also use this scrub all over my body and I do not think that I will discontinue using this. Not to mention, I bought this on sale so it is a sure deal for me.

As you can see on the picture above, I almost emptied the tub. I scrub once or twice a week even though the packaging recommends using it 3-4 times. On the studies I have read online, scrubbing everyday is a no-no because of the danger that it may bring to skin and because I am working 8-5 on weekdays, I use this on my rest days.

I only apply small amount to the areas that I want it covered and then I gently spread it. Maybe because of visible granules of the apricot that gives it a bad notion. I am not a professional dermatologist or something related so I can not say anything that can give clear statement regarding its benefits and hazards. But I do believe that whatever or whichever that makes you feel good and what makes your skin on its fullest, go for it. Everyone has its unique description so why not give it a try. And if you are a scrub person, purchase this one and you will never regret it.

LS BL Cream | A Product Review

This is not a facial skincare or for the body but I want to share my experience using this one. I believe that this lessen and cure such skin diseases and maybe this is also the one you are looking for because same with you, I am looking for such in my whole  This may not be the exclusive one but it is really worth a try.

Brand Name: LS
Product Name: BL Cream
Product Type: Cream
Product Price: Php 60 (7g)

I am suffering from atopic dermatitis and sometimes diagnosed as skin asthma. I have tried dermatological creams as prescribed by dermatologists that I have attended to. By now, I can not remember the count of how many dermatologists I visited. Anyways, I am happy that I found the one.

Informations are printed on the box and the measures on using it. However, if you search it in world wide web, others have hyped this item to use on the face as it brings good effect to the skin. I just want to warn others on the true use and harmful ingredients that may bring unlikely effect in the long run. This product contains Clobetasol which is may make the skin thinner and may cause blister. It is still better to check it with your dermatologist before using.

This is the famous packaging of LS BL Cream. If you are looking for one, it is not that hard to find. They are widely available even on the streets but beware that may there be a fake ones. I recommend to buy it inside the pharmacies or drugstores. But lately, I had a news that some pharmacies are asking for prescriptions before they allow customers to buy it. Maybe because of the ingredients that may do harm. In whole honesty, I did not tried it because a dermatologist prescribed it. I tried it because some of my workmates recommend it to me since they are using this to there own skin problems for ages. Since I have tried many products and spend too much for each one that did not even gave me better improvements, I searched for this and used it. I am glad I tried it. Up to this one, I have it on me and using it. Just sharing, atopic dermatitis can not be cured. They are triggered now and then. So far, my I did not have a break out just like before. There are some that needed attention but this cream handled it good for me.

For the formula, it is thick and white. I recommend to apply it generously and evenly but be aware on what is indicated in the label. Safety first.

Have you tried this product already? Do you have thoughts about this one? Kindly write it in the comment section :)

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Skin | A Product Review

Blueberries are high in nutrients and are enriched with anti-oxidants. They also provide health benefits. In line with Innisfree's skinfood products, Innisfree introduced their blueberry line that promises skin hydration and pH balancing.

Brand Name: Innisfree
Product Name: Blueberry Rebalancing Skin
Product Type: Toner
Product Price: Php 300 (150mL)

What I love about Innisfree's skinfood, they are not as expensive as their other products. As far as I can remember, Innisfree is my comfort when it comes to Korean skincare. I have tried several but I am not still convinced on what my skin really needs. I have bumped into this line and why not give it a try? From many months of using, my skin feels hydrated and dewy. My face is not as oily as before.

The thing that I like more about Innisfree's skinfood, they are simple. The packaging is simple as well as the ingredients. If you are concerned about the formula, then their skinfood line is good for you. I have also reviewed their Broccoli Clearing Lotion here. This product also contains propanediol that eases the absorption to the skin and glycerin which is a moisturizer that treats and prevents dryness and irritation.

Aside from the cup, it is also has stopper that prevents leak whenever possible. It is okay to remove it when you started using it. But in my case, I still attached it after using just in case I need to bring it anywhere with me. I also like the transparency of the bottle and its simplicity. I can easily determine if I need to repurchase one soon.

The formula is watery and transparent. There is no stickiness to the feel and it easily absorbed by the skin. I apply it using my palm without cotton because whenever I use cotton, I think that most of the liquid was absorbed by it and need to use more. For the odor, it smells citrusy compared to the blueberry smell. At first, the smell stings but eventually, I get used to it. It is more tolerable now and smells refreshing.

For my months of usage and used almost a half of the bottle, I can say that my face is hydrated and not irritated as before. But over-all, I did not see great improvement. Maybe, this is also because of the next products I used after toning. If you want to rehydrate and your skin is sensitive, I would recommend this. But if you want a holy grail and total performace, you may try other products that will focus on your concerns.

Innisfree Broccoli Clearing Lotion | A Product Review

As I am looking to buy a new light moisturizer and I am living on a country with humid climate, I have seen skinfood line of Innisfree. Innisfree is a brand that I also trust. Whenever I am looking for a skincare product, I always go to Innisfree. Skinfood has been popular now because of natural ingredients and not so many fillers. Innisfree has released many variants on its Skinfood line like Blueberry, Beetroot, Kale, Oats, Broccoli, Fig, and others that I may not have mentioned. I also bought cleaner on its Blueberry Skinfood line.

Brand Name: Innisfree
Product Name: Broccoli Clearing Lotion
Product Type: Moisturizer
Product Price: Php 500 (130mL)

Just like the other Skinfood line of Innisfree, the packaging is simple and transparent. What I like about it is that I can easily know if I already half way through or a need a new bottle. The plastic-type container also indicates the price of the product. It is way cheaper than other brands and other kinds.

This is how it was sealed. This has a green sticker that sticks from the cap to the body of the lotion. On the inside, there is also a top cover so the lotion will not came out and it is not greasy. But if you are a heavy user, it is convenient if you just dispose the seal. I also place this in the fridge for a cool sensation whenever I apply it on my face.

The consistency is thick and white in nature. When I applied it on my face, it is not greasy. My skin easily absorbed it, this is why I apply more than I normally use compared on my other Innisfree lotion. I have used it for days now and I can say that my pimples somehow improved in terms that it was not that irritated like before and my face seems clearer. My skin is oily and sensitive. I also gets acne during that time of the month. In short, I always have acne so I am really searching for that product that my skin will love. Innisfree Broccoli Clearing Lotion contains a small percentage of BHA that is why I only use this in the morning, specifically speaking, I avoid using this at night because I use Niacinamide and Retinol.

I have checked and search for combination that is suited for all skin types using active ingredients. It is okay to combine BHA/AHA with niacinamide or retinol. But since I am using both Niacinamide and Retinol on my night routine, I think adding BHA is way too much.

Innisfree Broccoli Clearing Lotion is not as heavy as the others and if you really want a moisturizer that may hydrate your skin after all the steps in your skincare routine, then this is not for you. Try to search for creams. But if you are like me who just wants enough moisture, I recommend this product. I also read some reviews that this lotion helps clearing their skin. Hoping also for my face to be as clearer as it can be.

Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal | A Product Review

Whenever I am looking for a skincare product, I watch videos in Youtube or search reviews on Google. I have tried Innisfree samples but I was not convinced since they are more expensive compared to others with such good volume. One of well-known Pinay Youtube influencer recommended this toner which she agreed that it will give best results to any skin type. She made me convinced and I searched for it online. Now, I will soon emptied the bottle.

Brand Name: Thayers
Product Name: Witch hazel (Rose Petal)
Product Type: Toner
Product Price: Php 695 (355mL)

I am using this for almost a year now and still counting. This is an American Brand and I can say there are no bad reactions to my skin and no outstanding happened either. But this is worth the money as you can see. Since we all have different skin types and I can not say that what is good for me is good for you or what is bad, I think it is still better to try it for yourself especially now there are small volumes available online as samplers. But if you are a fan of witch hazel, it is definitely for you.

The formula is transparent and the smell is not too strong. At first, I am hesitant to the rose odor of it but eventually, I get used to it. I apply this every time I washed my face and this becomes a habit.

When I apply it, I just apply it as is. I do not use cotton because I think, the cotton just absorbs the liquid and my face has not given enough amount. But it is still depends on how you apply toner and what fits you. The thing I like about this is it is not sticky and it will get dry easily. I also have a pocket of this whenever I go because this can also be a mist. It does not sting and it will leave you refresh. But to be honest, I have not yet found my toner. Now that it will be emptied, I am searching for other toners that will eventually have a better result to my skin.

Witch Hazel promised to treat certain conditions and it has an astringent effects. Meanwhile, rose petals are used for its astringent and antibacterial power. It has a good combination and I have nothing against it. For almost a year of applying it, I did not breakout but I have pimples from time to time usually on the red days. I maybe need a more powerful since my skin is oily and sensitive.

I still recommend this one. It is cheaper than others and have a good formula. Have you already tried it? I would like to know your thoughts with this.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Eye Cream | A Product Review

Green tea has many benefits and one of this is antioxidants. Innisfree introduced its Green Tea Seed line that has been proven effective by so many since it became available to the market. This is my first time using an eye cream to repair my under eye and hopefully to help minimize my eye bags.

I searched for an effective eye cream that is suitable for me and affordable. And almost all reviews that I came to suggest to try this Innisfree's famous Green Tea Seed Eye Cream. I can not say that it is affordable and there is no smaller version available for me to get a sample. And since I am a fan of Innisfree, I bought one. I also hold on to famous influencers' reviews.

Brand Name: Innisfree
Product Name: Green Tea Seed Eye Cream
Product Type: Eye Cream
Product Price: Php1089 (30mL)

I bought this for only Php 500 because this has been used by the first buyer. It did not went well for her skin so she sell it cheaper. I bought this almost full, like it never been used before. The seller has proofs that it is legit and still not expired. As I checked the originality of the product in the internet and to the actual product as I already bought it, this really seems legit and there is nothing wrong for me to worry about.

I like its packaging and it says too well to its price. Even though it only contains 30mL, it looks big because of the container. It is kind of unhygienic because of large opening, but you only need a small amount for your eyes so no need to worry and I also believe that you will use this only on your routine with washed hands. For the container only, I will give it a thumbs up. The embedded brand name on the cap, the lettering, and especially the packaging, I really like it. The container itself says it all and justifiable to the price. But if they will have a cheaper version or even a sampler, I will definitely buy that one because I only need small volume to get me going. I always mention the price because for me, this one is really expensive. After all, eye creams are not cheap.

As you can see for many months now of continuous usage (except when I am out of town), I still have half to go. I also give a friend a portion because I recommend this to him. On the first months and also because I just start to apply and take a chance with different products, I have seen no difference. But after some time now, you can see on the image below that my eyelashes really gives me that break through. Before, they are not that thick and long. Recently, many of my coworkers noticed it. That is why I determined to make a review about it and to recommend it. Last year, I have seen the changes already but I have seen no difference on my under eyes. I just continue to use this because there is nothing bad happened during and after applications.

I have natural curled eyelashes. I inherited this on my dad so when it gets long and thick, this really became so noticeable and this is what I love with this Innisfree product. Because of this, I honestly say that this is effective but not for brightening under eyes. I am still getting there and still hopeful. Maybe by the use of other skincare products that I am using now, my under eyes have been improved. Also, it is now not that too baggy.

I recommend Innisfree Green Tea Seed Eye Cream for eye improvements. I have read and watched good reviews about it. But if ever the container have been emptied, I will still search for better but it will still be my first choice. So far, I am happy using it.

Try it for yourselves. After all, this is Innisfree. You can never go wrong with Innisfree.

Apotheke Brightening Night Serum | A Product Review

I am not a fan of serums because the last time I used one, it just gets my money without seeing any result. And for the past few months when I give skincare a shot, I checked videos regarding what main ingredient will I need to have for that young looking skin. There are active ingredients that I found but since my skin is somehow also sensitive, I am afraid to use such because I do not know what to do whenever this nightmare happens to me.

If you have checked my previous blog post, I reviewed other Apotheke product which mainly contained Niacinamide. I also mentioned on that post the benefits, the effectiveness and how it does not harm the skin compared to others.

Because I have seen good improvement using this Niacinamide one, I decided to try another and I believe in Apotheke's credibility. I also checked buyers' reviews on their night serum.

Brand Name: Apotheke Science Philippines
Product Name: Apotheke Brightening Night Serum
Product Type: Serum
Product Price: Php199 (30mL)

I decided to try this one because it has retinol in it. Retinol helps in anti-aging process of the skin and it is recommended to start at mid 20s. I am now 28 years old and I have seen my skin looking ugly and dry. I am hesitant at first because there are others who experienced small bumps after using. Also, same outcome with other brands with retinol. Since I think Apotheke is true to their words and only uses essential chemicals and somehow organic, I bought one to find out. Other korean retinol products I have seen on the market is expensive for me and I only need a sampler for now.

This comes with drops. I apply 4 drops every night after applying moisturizer. One on the forehead, one on each cheeks, and the other one on the chin. Then, I applied it evenly. The formula is sticky but after some time, it will not feel sticky at all. At first night of the application, you may feel a tingling sensation but after continuous application, you may not feel it again. Maybe this is just how the skin reacts to it at first. But if you see or feel that this product is not applicable to use on your skin, stop this then immediately.

According to the instruction that is included in the package when you bought one, continue use for a month to see the difference. I have used this for many months now and the bottle is still half way through. My skin lightens and been improved. Also, this helps on healing my pimples and slowly helps on the lightness of my pigmentation. I like this product. As I can see on my skin now compared to my before, it is way younger looking.

Retinol is good for aging skin. I recommend to incorporate it to a skincare routine at the age of 20. But for pregnant women, it is not adviced. Consult first your physician before applying.

Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Lotion | A Product Review

Since an Innisfree store opened inside SM Mall of Asia, I have been curious to their products especially now that korean skincare is widely known. Ladies who have been into skincare routine that I know, korean brands will be there. Honestly, I am a lazy person so I would like to maintain my routine steps in minimum.

I have an oily to combination skin so I am not really into moisturizer. The last time, a very long time ago I already forgot when, I applied moisturizer on my skin and it did breakout that went to a point where I told myself that moisturizer is not really meant for me. It change my mind when I noticed that some products I bought from Innisfree even the samples went well, why not give another shot for moisturizer. Actually the packaging attracted me that is why I bought one.

Brand Name: Innisfree
Product Name: Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Lotion
Product Type: Moisturizer
Product Price: Php130 (30mL) and Php700 (100mL)
                           Price may vary.

I like the pink color and the packaging type. Innisfree does not disappoints me on their designs and their chose of colors. I only use moisturizers at night before applying my serum because I think my serum left my skin dry after. And before buying this one or any products, I always check for reviews. Since this is not as famous like the other brands and other Innisfree products, I am not well convinced. But then, this is an Innisfree product so why not? After all, this is only 30mL and already cheap for a korean skincare.

The lotion is white in color. I can not say that it smells like cherry blossom because I have not smelled one in actual but it smells really good. And for the texture, it is not sticky but not watery. I like the consistency especially when it was applied on the face. I did not feel sticky at all and there is no sting. It does not take me a long time to let my skin set and be ready for the another step. As soon as you applied it, the skin starts to absorb it. After some time, you can now apply another product on your face.

If you would ask me its effectivity, I can not say much because I use other products on my routine. But I can say that this helps to not let my skin dry and other moisturizer I think can also do the same, just be meticulous on what to choose. Just being honest, now that it will soon be empty, I tried to look for other korean moisturizer online to buy. Since I have not convinced with other brands and I think some of them are expensive for me, I look for this one again because it does not give bad impression until now. But it does not stop me there. I tried to look for other Innisfree lotion. I changed my mind when I have seen other that more likely beneficial.

When I opened my new lotion that I bought recently from Innisfree, I will definitely make a review on it.

Before I forgot, Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom as I read on other's reviews, it has a whitening effect. I can not say if it is real because I use a brightening serum at night. I can just say that why not try it for yourself? After all, this is an Innisfree.

Apotheke Science Niacinamide 10% | A Product Review

Skin Type: oily to combination

I have been to skin care routine recently. Youtube influences me to take care of my skin without overspending by visiting facial clinic every time. I watched multiple youtube channels and search products that I think can help in my skin condition. Most korean brands and their products look promising especially with minimal amount of chemical or nothing at all. Most of the products I have tried and used are bought online using online mobile shopping application. I love the convenience and affordability compared to physical store price, but we buyers still need to be vigilant on the shop that we will trust. I would just like to share that most korean brands are now have physical stores in malls like Innisfree, Khiel's, and I think Cosrx will soon have in Pasig. And for amreican brands, Watsons accomodate some bestsellers.

Brand Name: Apotheke Science Philippines
Product Name: Apotheke Science Niacinamide 10%
Product Type: Serum
Product Price: Php249 (30mL) and  Php489 (60mL)

I am currently using Apotheke Science Niacinamide 10% in 60mL bottle after my toner every morning. Before I use this every night also, but I have tried other serum at night so I only use this one in the morning. If I have finished my bottle of my other serum, I will switch to this one day and night.

What I like about this product is its formula because it is composed of niacinamide and aloe vera only. Its formulation is thick and an aloe vera gel type. My target ingredient is the niacinamide because I have been fascinated by its effects. Google says niacinamide has minimal to nothing harmful effect to skin. As what google says, "Niacinamide also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness, and a weakened surface". The downside is, which I think is not that negative at all, it needs long time to see the effect. But I prefer this one especially that my skin is sensitive. The thing that I really avoid in choosing a product is for that product not to react or trigger my skin asthma.

The formula is gel type and its thickness is same with an aloe vera gel. Aloe vera has also good benefits in the skin. According to Google, "It contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory. It can help treat burns, acne and dry skin". Now a days, there are many manufacturers for Aloe Vera Soothing Gels. I personally want to try one but I am scared because rating of some of the reviews I have watched and read says average. There are reviewers who breakouts and others make their skin better.

I have used this product for 6 months now and I did not breakout, fortunately. And in 6 months, I have noticed some good changes but I can not say that it is because of this product alone because I am using facial wash, toner and sunscreen in the morning; Additional serum at night. At first, I ordered the 30mL bottle to check first if it is effective and if it is good for my skin. Just this week, I ordered 60mL bottle after I finished my first.

So far, my friends noticed the difference so I continue to use this. In the future when I finished my night serum, I will try Apotheke's other product for night use. Their night serum product looks good because of its active ingredient which is retinol. I will make a review for this one also, so just stay tuned.

Since we have different skin types, it is still better to check first if this product will not harm your skin. Still I recommend this one to try and to help local manufacturers as well.
