Garnier Light Complete Vitamin C 30x Booster Serum | A Product Review

I was so intrigue with this new Light Complete line of Garnier especially with this Vitamin C serum. Now a days people are switching to actives on their skin care routine particularly on people who are into anti aging products. Vitamin C may help in treatment and repair of damages caused by ultraviolet rays so this is intended to use in day time together with sunscreen.

Brand Name: Garnier
Product Name: Light Complete Vitamin C 30x Booster Serum
Product Type: Serum
Product Price: Php 499 (

I have purchased this on their introductory sale and this alone in their Light Complete line is so promising that many is excited to use this. Using vitamin C as a serum is now popular compared to using day cream as its substitute. It is advised to apply during the day at the time when the sun is on its brightest because Vitamin C may give better effects. Of course, using it with sunscreen, Vitamin C can repair and damage skin cells caused by ultraviolet rays coming from the sun. Also, as what most of us know, Vitamin C can give flawless and white complexion skin.

Like most of serums, it is on dropper bottles and you only need 3-5 drops every application. It was in a transparent container so you can easily see if the formula is already exposed or contaminated. The consistency is thick and cloudy white. It is not oily when applied and you can feel the liquid on. When storing, keep away from direct sunlight and hot surfaces. I mostly stored it in the fridge. I apply it after toner and before moisturizer and sunscreen.

On my honest opinion, this serum is not pleasing to me. My skin formed bumps after application and I tried to continue to check if maybe it is just an initial effect. Now, I am suffering from severe acne and to calm my skin down, I discontinue using it. I did not know what really caused me to breakout. Maybe because also of using face masks and face shield. But I am still accusing it and my moisturizer to prevent future more damages. For now, I only use toner and sunscreen. I am waiting for my appointment on my dermatologist so I can cure this one. But I do not take away the reason that maybe this is caused by my hormonal imbalance.

I am also not suggesting that this is a bad product. Just like everything else, there are products that are best to many and bad for some. If you really want to try this one, check this out. There are reviews that I read that this Vitamin C serum helps their skin to glow in so much potential. So I guess, we just still need to do experimenting so we can see what products suit our skin.

Looking Back in History | National Museum of Natural History

It seems cloudy but we actually went in the highest of the sun. Since it was a Saturday afternoon, do not expect a few number of people because we actually fell in line. There are foreigners and a huge crowd. Maybe because our timing was not right, there was a field trip going on. Anyway, a short waiting in line does not down our excitement. National Museum of National History at this time was newly opened to the public and the remains of Lolong, the largest crocodile at this time, was displayed.

As you enter the museum, you can found this complicated structure in the middle and this gem on the wall. I like it though but not that much. I attached more photos of myself just enjoying the day.

There are rooms that you may enter but at the time we went, some doors are still closed and still on renovation. Maybe at this time, it is already available. I advise to wear comfy shoes and clothes when going and have more patients because it will be definitely tiring but full of fun. I posted below some items inside the museum.

For the finale, Lolong!

If you like a short trip around Manila only, you can visit and check the schedule for availability. We went last year 2019 before the pandemic. Still it is a museum worth visiting.

Mi Band 4 After 2 Weeks | Update!

I have posted my unboxing on this blog and you may check it out for my first impressions and brief walkthrough. I am now using this for 2 weeks now and I still wear it all the time except when I take a bath. Even though this is water resistant, I do not feel the need to wear it at this times. It just feels uncomfortable. I also mentioned last time that I will buy screen protector and new strap for this, sadly, I am not happy with the strap because it is thick and kinda hard. It feels heavy but tolerable. And for the screen protector, I had not received it. I was so disappointed so I decided not to put one because based on the reviews I have read online, the screen composition of Mi Band 4 is good enough for daily light use. I do not think I would have a problem with it in the future, so be it.

Because of people now being conscious on their health, sports watch or band becomes popular. I am monitoring my light exercises then and then and I think it is consistent including the burned Calories and the bpm. Check out below for comparison between days I exercised.

As much as possible, I try to exercise once a week and based on the Calories that I burned as stated on the images above, there are no significant difference on each. I also monitor my heart rate. During the execution of the workouts, the tiredness I feel and the bpm stated on every workout result is almost same so I do not have doubts on it.

Before I bought this for myself, I checked the main functions that is totally standing out like its sleep monitoring. To be honest, it is unusual for me to monitor my sleeping habits because I do not have a sleeping pattern. I sleep whenever I feel it and wake up whenever my mind and body needs to. But it does not mean I am not sleeping at night and not waking up in the morning. I added some results below.

It is still not comfortable wearing this band at night though, still curiosity strikes me on my sleeping behavior. In this monitoring, it also states the hours you have deep and light sleep and how long you stayed awake. It also shows what percentage you are at the time you started to sleep and on what time you woke up. It just did not state it above but you can see it on Mi Application. At this one, I can not monitor my deep sleep and light sleep myself so I will leave it like that.

My only concern is in its step counts. Because on the 1st week of usage and I am excited using it, I noticed that at the time I am riding a vehicle, my counts increases. It bothers me at first but when I checked samsung health on my phone to check if this is usual, it also has the same result. So I think if you really need an accurate step count monitoring, there are devices specialized for it. But for glimpse on the steps you made for the whole day, it is enough.

On its battery life, Xiaomi stands that it will last for about 20 days. On my experienced, I recharged it after 14 days so I am nothing against Xiaomi. I also charged it for less than 2 hours I think. For a small bucks of money, I still think this is a win-win.
