Starbucks In a New Normal And a New Rewards Card

This was actually my first time going out since this quarantine have started. It was my boyfriend's birthday so I decided to go out. We went to SM Mall of Asia because this place is so near to my home and we ate there. After some time, we decided to have a coffee on Starbucks and also because, I still have my old rewards card with a balance on it.

I have hyperacidity so I chose decaf. I ordered Triple Chocolate Frappuccino and for him is White Chocolate Frappuccino. About the card, I really remember that I have signed in months ago on the first time they introduced their new rewards application using my old card but then when we were ready to use it at this time, I can not see my card and my balance on the app. We spent time trying to figure it out, my boyfriend confirmed to the barista how to transfer my funds to the new app.

My Old Card

In order to transfer your fund from the old card to your new one, the Barista will do it for you.

1. Go to the cashier and ask the Barista to transfer your fund from your old card.

2. S/he will ask you if you want to exchange it into cash or have a new card to where it will be transfered.

2a. If you chose to exchange it into cash, s/he will give you the exact amount on the balance indicated in your old card.

2b. If you chose to transfer the balance to your new card so you may use the app, s/he will let you choose the new card available for free. This is where the balance will be transfered and also, the new card is only the one that can be added on new Starbucks Rewards App.

3. When choosing the card, like availing a new one, you need an initial deposit of Php500. You may add additional amount plus the balance that was trasfered to accumulate Php500.

My New Card

I chose this limited edition card. I am an aquarian and I love mermaids, so yeah. I registered the new card to the app and it was now activated.

We really had a good time. More starbucks coffee to come 😉
