Tara sa Antipolo | A DIY Day Trip

Before the Lenten season, my 2 galfriends and I went to a day trip in Antipolo.

We left cubao at almost 8am and we reached Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage church at 10am. We joined the mass then bought some pasalubongs in front of the Church. I bought cashew nuts, kakanin and a bundle of suman. After that, we went straight to Hinulugang Taktak (A famous falls in Antipolo, Rizal) by riding a tricycle.

We only spent 30 minutes, just to take some rest and took pictures. Before we proceed to our next activity, we first find place where to eat since it was almost 11 AM. My friend researched beforehand that there is an eat-all-you-can buffet for lunch somewhere here in Antipolo. We rent a tricycle since it is the most convenient vehicle that is accessible everywhere here. We ate lunch at Mom’s Pot Restaurant. Cheap and the food tastes good. 😉

We left the place exactly 12 AM then we proceed to Mystical Cave via tricycle. It was a long trek with a cemented ladder so this was not so hard. There was a store that sell colored candles that we lit inside the cave along the way. And our tour guide is a little girl, yes! The cave is not that difficult as what you think. The cave was really mystical, magical and oh, goosebumps. You need to see it for yourself. The cave is solemn and this was the cave I spelunked that was totally different…and holy.

When we already went outside, my super-active-friend found out a Groto and definitely need to hike. I’m not in hiking but for the sake of not ending the enjoyment, I hiked anyway. I almost stop my breath as I go along the way. But the view is great. It was just a short hike compared to other mountains. There was a big cross at the middle of the peak.

We decided to go right away to Pinto Art Museum and took a rest there. It is forbidden to change clothes inside the premises and we didn’t anticipated it so we went inside as haggard as we looked like. We just freshen up at the CR. We went to 3 Galleries. The museum is like a park. And I can say that this place is a heaven specially if you are an artist of any kind. You will definitely appreciate everything.

I comouflage. Can you find me? 🙂

We ate at Pinto Art Cafe and ordered a heavy meal because that will be our last food for the day and because we also considered our budget.

Thank you for this delicious and artistic creations.

We strolled other arts inside and rest for a while on benches and took pictures.

It was almost 6 PM and we still have one stop over to go to. 7 PM we left the museum and rode a jeepney to Brgy. Boso-Boso to visit the famous Boso-Boso Church. When we get there, the church was already closed. Thank you to the priest because he opened the church just for us because he knew that we came from a long way just to see the church. Inside is solemn and private. You can see how old the church is by its interior. It was simple but yet I can say that it was glamorous by how it is.

We left Antipolo at 9 PM. Our trip was great even though it was really tiring. It is not just the place, the view, or the stops but definitely the people who you share your tiredness with. This would not be our last. This was a celebration of our long-lasting friendship. Yey!!!
