Kalbaryo: A Pre-holyweek Adventure in Binangonan, Rizal

My province is Binangonan, Rizal but I live in Pasay City. From time to time, we go here and visit relatives. Before, we rested in houses where our relatives live, no permanent shelter. Thank God, we have built a small house in our lot and hopefully to built a home with larger space soon. This is not my first time in Kalbaryo but I can say that this year, it came more beautiful than ever. Last time I checked, it was not controlled and the place was somehow a mess.

There are a hundred and more steps to take before you can see the cross at the top but do not worry, for people who are somehow fit and physically young can do this. If you are a hiker, this is so easy. But bring water to keep yourself hydrated at all times for safety measures also. We went here summer so based on my experience, it is best to go here before sunset since this is also the best time of the day. No doubt, wherever you are, sunset would be one of those beautiful creations and you never want to miss it. At this time, Kalbaryo can only accommodate tourists or locals until 6pm only.

At the  top, you can see Laguna Lake, Metro Manila skyline, and Binangonan itself. Visiting here for some time already, I never thought that there would be such beauty in this town. Below are other captured images of us at the top.

Before I forgot, bring your vaccination card with you since some attractions still require it during Alert Level 1. And have a camera with you. Memories are better but capturing those are a thing. I hope that you can get here either alone or with love ones. There are other underrated places here in Binangonan that are still unexplored. Just ask locals and for sure, they have other places to recommend. More Binangonan places on my next blog.
